In this series, each image is the namesake of its original file, which contains time and geography information. With the innovating method of memory storage, space, loss of time, artificial substances and organic bodies, relation of social self and the unknown others, the once incorporeal is now grounded, and provided with a tangible form.
‘Relic’ refers to the photographed subjects as well as the image itself, the latter, either in an album or a hard drive, enables the possibility of connecting to the former,
physically and psychologically.
The series also sheds light on one of the ontological characters of photography
— being an integral part of modern life — as prosthetic device to possess the others.
Certain symbolic items collected from streets of various destinations reoccur — by photography as well as bringing home the physical objects, which are then made use in still life settings.
